Castle peeps over here!

No, not that Castle Peeps.

This castle, peeps...

Liv's 4th birthday is just around the corner.  Since Grandma and Papa offered to have a sleep-over last night, Dear Young Hubby (DYH) and I took advantage of the kid-free time and put together her new castle bed.

I am not normally a Wal-Mart shopper and avoid visiting the store if at all possible. But DYH and I stumbled upon this bed during our many internet searches and just loved it from the get go. (It also didn't hurt that the price point was very affordable.)

Since Liv is such a morning person, it will be a thrill for her to go down the slide each morning.

Truth be told, we are giddy. She hasn't seen it yet but I think it will blow her mind! Her dolly looks pretty jazzed too.

As with all projects, there is always something I wish I had done differently. After putting this together, I realized there is a vast blank slate under the loft bed.

I could leave it without anything on the floor...but where's the fun in that?

Later peeps!

  1. Oh my goodness -- I can't wait to hear how well-received it was (full of squeals and giggles, I'm sure)!! This is *so* darling!! And definitely that floor space needs a floor quilt. It's so much cozier that way!! :)

  2. Hello Asiyah,

That is one child's paradise. I can imagaine you won't be saying "go to your room" when she has misbehaved!!!!! She is going to love it, I want to play there.
    Happy days.

  3. She loves the bed. I'm still excited when I walk into her room and look at it. Too bad its weight limit is 200 lbs. It's motivation for me to lose another 15 so I can play on it too. :)
