Another one bites the dust...

Queue the Queen music folks...this quilt top is done!

Other than being a test for the Z'ing Stars pattern, I totally loved making this quilt. I'm going to head out in a bit to see if I can't find a coordinating fabric for the backing.

Sidebar: Does anyone else wait until the quilt is done to buy the backing or is that just me?

Oh and I'd like to give away a print of the Z'ing Stars pattern to one of my cherished readers. I'll mail it to you since the file is super humongous.

Just leave a comment and I'll do a drawing on Thanksgiving Eve.

And while I'm sharing...here's an earworm for ya.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, peeps!

  1. Oh no -- "We Are the Champions" is *much* more appropriate for this finish!! It's lovely! :)

  2. LOL!! I had to come back and comment again -- I watched the video *after* I'd commented. What fun memories this brings back. I saw them in concert -- probably one of their last ones -- way back in the day. I remember sitting on the beach at Ocean City, MD the summer of '80, listening to their music (We Will Rock You) over the PBS. Too fun! :)

  3. I "heart" it, too. Very nice. I nearly always buy backs after the top is finished, so you are not alone. It just works better for me that way.

  4. I love read & white quilts!! This one is awesome! And I usually wait to buy the backing. In fact, lots of times I just try to use up stuff from my stash and it ends up being scrappy.
